To promote family values, mixed race couples are being used for the clip. The reason behind this idea is to tell us that people are not only married to their own race, but also other race. For the couple, although they are of different race, they are still very loving. The clip suggest that even though skin colour can have a big difference, practices of races can be different, language of races are different, belief of races are different, they can still live together as one, in harmony, in love and care. This idea suggests the people that no matter how different they are with their partner, they can still accept each other and understand each other and also change for each other.
The clip did not talk about the good side of the husband. Did not talk about how loving they was together. The wife talks about the bad traits her husband has. His wife compares her husband's snoring sound to the sound made by starting of the engine. She also said about her husband's action and how she had reacted to him, by saying it was the dog. These made the audience laughed at their behavior.
The clip is not that effective to promote family values. Although the clip made viewers feels touched, but some most young viewers might not be able to watch the clip from start to end, as people nowadays are not likely to watch clips and advertisements that seems dull and boring. The speech was in the sad emotion; however it does not catch the interest of the viewers. The clip might be effective on some families, or maybe some families might understand the values behind the speech, but it may not affect the doings and behavior and thinking’s of people. It did not motivate the viewers to follow and carries family values in mind, thus acting them out. If the clip is made more attractively, viewers might be more interested in viewing, thinking, understanding, and upholding the family values.
